Access School age may change from under 19 to under 21

The age of access to schools in AB may change "from under 19 to under 21." This is upsetting to some parents who do not want their Grade 9 child in the same school as a 20 year old student.

The proposed Education Act also states:
"Providing access to high school programs does not require boards to place 21 year olds in the same school as 15 to 18 year olds. boards will decide how to meet the needs of older students in the service area."

I do not agree with 21 year olds in the same school with 15 year olds.

I understand that we want to extend so that more may have that opportunity to graduate. RDP has a beautiful program called Finish Line! We search out those who have not graduated and help them step over the Finish Line and receive their diploma.

To solve this: We have outreach schools and correspondence schools that can help provide the great education at a lower cost.

What do you think?
